| God is the Creator of all things.
His fullness is beyond all human conception. He is eternal,
omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent. He is the God of Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob as well as the God of all New Testament believers.
God has revealed Himself as three distinct persons in the
Trinity - the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are united
in nature and substance as the one true God.
Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah, born of the
Virgin Mary, Who died for the sins of all mankind. He was crucified,
died, buried, and on the third day resurrected. He ascended to
heaven and will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead.
The deity of Jesus is both man and God and is deserving of great honor,
glory, and reverence. Every knee will bow to Him one day.
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter promised by
Jesus Christ, which lives inside of each born again person, guiding them
into all truths. We believe His power and gifts are available to all
believers today.
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and
authoritative Word of God. It is God's love letter to His created
being - man. It contains His plan of salvation for mankind as well
as the foundation for all knowledge of matters relating to life and death.
It is eternal - it will never pass away.
Salvation is the deliverance from the bondage of
sin and is available to all who believe in the voluntary sacrifice Christ
made on the Cross of Calvary as payment for their sins. The blood
that Jesus Christ shed on the Cross once and for all paid the penalty of
all sin. Salvation is available to all who accept Christ's payment
for their sin. Salvation cannot be lost.
Rewards are given when believers are judge at the
Judgment Seat of Christ. They are earned - not guaranteed - and can
be lost. They are separate from salvation. They are based on
the thoughts, words, and deeds of the believer while in the body.
Born-again Christians are people who by faith
accept only Jesus Christ's shed blood as payment for their sins.
They are saved from the penalty of their sin because of the blood that
Jesus Christ shed on the Cross, not because of works or any goodness of
their own. When a person accepts Jesus Christ as Savior, their
spirit, which was dead, is made alive. They are born-again.
Because of this they have the ability to communicate with God through the
Holy Spirit and their understanding of the meaning of the Word of God is
opened. Their lives are changed and show the fruit of the Holy
Spirit as evidence.
Water Baptism is an outward expression of an
inward change. It is not a requirement for salvation, rather it is a
testimony of the life surrendered to Jesus. It is symbolic of Jesus'
death, burial, and resurrection.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit is an event whereby
the fullness of the power of the Holy Spirit is released in a born again
person's life. It is evidenced by the ability to speak in a new
prayer language, or other tongues. It is available to all who
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ simply by asking for it.
